Press TV has conducted an interview with Marcus Papadopoulos, the publisher and editor of First Politics, in London, to discuss the latest figures released by the United Nations about the death toll in Iraq.

Papadopoulos says the figures are another reminder of the disastrous consequences of the US-led invasion of Iraq. He believes the ongoing violence in Iraq is a result of the West’s and its regional allies’ interference in Syria, which paved the way for the ISIL terrorist group to emerge as a ominous force in the Middle East.
