Israel seeking to deceive world on Iran’s N. program: Analyst

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressing the UN General Assembly in 2012 over Iran's nuclear program

Press TV has conducted an interview with Dean Henderson, an author and political expert from Memphis, and George Lambrakis, a former US diplomat from London, to ask them why Israel is deliberately trying to mislead the world on Iran's nuclear program.

Henderson believes that Israel seeks to deceive the international community over Iran’s peaceful nuclear program in a bid to justify another war in the Middle East against an independent oil-rich country.

Notwithstanding all these belligerent efforts by Tel Aviv, the United Sates needs to adopt a more constructive approach towards Iran at this point in order to be able to solve all regional issues such as the emergence of Takfiri groups by its assistance, he says.

Meanwhile, Lambrakis says although it is not clear whether or not Iran had been after nuclear weapons in the past, there is no proof at the present time to indicate that Tehran is pursuing a military nuclear program.

Netanyahu should not be listened to by the American Congress, he says, adding, Obama is on the right path as he has opted for negotiations with Iran over its nuclear program, and that the Congress should not get in the way of a potential accord.
