Press TV has conducted an interview with Colin Cavell, a former lecturer at University of Bahrain from West Virginia, to discuss a recent demonstration in Bahrain calling for the release of the country’s prominent opposition figure, Sheikh Ali Salman.

Cavell says the heavy-handed tactics used by Manama’s forces to suppress human rights activists is indicative of the Al Khalifa regime’s weakness.

He adds that the relentless clampdown on political dissidents in Bahrain means the Al Khalifa regime has no intention to meet the legitimate demands of the Bahraini nation.
