Family of slain Japanese journalist expresses sadness after beheading

The family of the slain Japanese journalist Kenji Goto has reacted following the apparent beheading of the hostage at the hands of the ISIL terrorists.

The mother of the journalist said she could not find words to describe her son’s death. She also promised to continue her son’s efforts toward ending wars. The brother of the journalist also expressed sadness and thanked everyone who had supported the victim. Goto was a freelance journalist, who covered wars in Africa, Afghanistan and the Middle East. The ISIL captured him in October 2014.
