US mother kills 3 kids before taking her own life
An American woman has killed her three children and then herself in an apartment in the US state of Georgia, authorities say.
The woman’s body was found by a maintenance man in the city of Austell on Tuesday along with her kids ranging in age from 9 months to 10 years old.
According to Cobb County police spokesman Dana Pierce, the man discovered the bodies as he went there to work on a clothes dryer.
A police statement said the woman, identified as 35-year-old Kisha Holmes, "first took the lives of her three children and then her own".
The three kids were a girl, aged 9 months, and two boys, aged 4 and 10.
It was not immediately clear when the deaths had happened exactly or what were the precise causes of the deaths as an autopsy was set to be performed.
Police continued investigations at the Walton Crossing Apartments on Mulkey Road where the bodies were found.
"I have three daughters myself, so I could never imagine harming my children or how it could get that bad," said a neighbor. "I just pray for the family."
On January 17, Hyphernkemberly Dorvilier, 22, set her newborn baby on fire in the middle of a street in the US state of New Jersey.
