US is ‘vassal state’ of Israel: Analyst

Washington is “infested” with traitors who place Israel’s interests first, an indication that the US is a “vassal state” of Israel, an American journalist in Phoenix says.

“We can no longer afford Israel as a friend, much less an ally [because] as a friend they’ve been a severe disappointment,” said Mike Harris, a financial editor at Veterans Today.

“Their espionage programs continue to this day in this country, their political maneuvering is paramount to sedition,” Harris told Press TV on Wednesday.

Harris made the comments after US House of Representatives Speaker John Boehner invited Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Congress next month to speak about the so-called threat from Iran.

Boehner, a Republican from Ohio, made the invitation hours after US President Barack Obama threatened to veto any Iran sanctions bill during his State of the Union address on Tuesday.

“This is a perfect illustration of how US foreign policy is not US foreign policy, but US foreign policy is Israeli foreign policy,” Harris noted.

“Mr. Boehner gives us a perfect illustration that the US is indeed a vassal state of Israel,” he concluded.

Commentators in the US have asserted that the Israel lobby has undue or pervasive influence over US foreign policy in the Middle East.

Last year, the US House of Representatives passed a bill which reaffirmed Washington’s commitment to Israel as a “major strategic partner” and called for the expansion of military ties with the regime in Tel Aviv.
