Israeli air strike hit a police station in Gaza City.
Israeli jets have bombarded a children's hospital, three governmental buildings as well as the parliament building in the Gaza Strip.

The children's hospital in Gaza City was damaged early on Thursday in an Israeli air strike. Huge explosions could be heard in Gaza early in the morning, AP reported.

Israeli warplanes also bombed the Palestinian parliament building in Gaza and navy ships opened fire at Hamas positions along the coastline as more Israeli ground forces massed on Gaza crossing. The parliament building was heavily damaged.

Palestinian medical sources said thirty-eight people were wounded during the fresh attacks.

On the sixth day of Israeli raids on the Palestinians, more than 2,300 people including women and children are either killed or wounded in the besieged area.

Israel started its attack on the Gaza Strip on Saturday and it has deployed tanks and troops along the border raising speculations of an imminent ground offensive.
