EU foreign policy Chief Javier Solana will probably travel to Tehran on Sunday to deliver G5+1 incentives package to Iranian officials.

"The date fixed will probably be the 15th (of June)," Solana said Monday after arriving in Ljubljana, the Slovenian capital.

The package, an updated version of a 2006 deal, is prepared by the five permanent members of the Security Council - Britain, China, France, Russia, and the US - plus Germany.

The package of proposals is aimed at persuading Tehran to suspend its uranium enrichment activities in exchange for economic and diplomatic rewards.

"We will have several meetings in Tehran with various people and we will see. I am not going to speak now about the contents of the package," Solana told AFP.

Under US pressure, the UNSC has so far slapped three rounds of sanctions on Iran for enriching uranium - which is aimed at producing substance used to generate electricity in nuclear power plants.
