US-Israeli genocide in Gaza
The US-Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip takes more civilian lives as the regime continues with its indiscriminate attacks. According to the health ministry in Gaza at least 39 people have lost their lives in a matter of 24 hours. Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza has been the main focus of the regime’s deadly strikes. In the latest attacks, Israeli forces have shelled a house in the al-Faluja area of Jabalia, killing at least four Palestinians including a pregnant woman. In Khan Younis, Israeli shelling of a house has left at least five people dead. The overall Palestinian death toll since early October is now approaching 35 thousand 300, most of them women and children.
ICJ case against Israel
The International Court of Justice has held first day of hearings on a new request from South Africa over Israel’s plans for a ground invasion of the southern Gaza city of Rafah. The hearings focused on the call for the top UN court to take additional measures to protect Rafah from " a genocidal operation threatening the very survival of Palestinians". South Africa has also called for unrestricted access of aid into the Gaza Strip and urged the world court to ensure Israel reports back whether it has adhered to the orders. The hearings are part of an ongoing case South Africa had filed at the ICJ last December, accusing Israel of violating the Genocide Convention. In January, the court ordered Israel to take measures to prevent genocide in Gaza, but stopped short of ordering a ceasefire. Let’s hear what South African representatives had to say.
Yemen supports Palestine
Yemen's Ansarullah leader says the US is playing a fundamental role in the Israeli genocide in Gaza by providing all forms of support for the regime. Abdolmalik al-Houthi said Washington has been sending weapons specifically manufactured to destroy cities and kill masses of people. He added that the U-S has also provided all forms of support to Israel in its war of starvation against Palestinians. He said targeting the Rafah crossing was part of this support. The Yemeni leader stressed the massacres in Gaza have increased and those who survive the bombings are starved to death. He noted the 76th anniversary of the Nakba when Britain enabled the Zionists to occupy Palestine, coincided with this genocide in Gaza enabled by the US.
