Israel Rafah invasion

The Israeli military says it has fully captured the Gaza's side of the Rafah Crossing which borders Egypt. The military also said the crossing is now disconnected from the Salah a-Din road in eastern Rafah, which was seized before. On Monday, the regime ordered residents in eastern parts of Rafah to evacuate to what it called humanitarian areas. Rafah has been the focus of Israel’s bombing campaign in recent weeks. Some 20 Palestinians, including women and children, were killed and many others injured in the regime’s air and artillery strikes overnight on the city’s neighborhoods. The death toll from nearly seven months of the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza now nears 34,790. The actual figure, however, is believed to be much higher as thousands of bodies still remain under the rubble.

Netanyahu under pressure

The Palestinians resistance movement Hamas says it has approved a proposal put forward by mediators Qatar and Egypt for a ceasefire in Gaza. The Hamas political bureau chief informed the Qatari and Egyptian mediators about the movement’s decision in a phone call. Separately, Ismail Haniyeh, in phone call with the Iranian foreign minister, said that the ball is now in Israel’s court as Hamas is sincere in its intentions. Meanwhile, Israel says the proposed deal falls short of its demands but a delegation from the regime will meet with negotiators in Cairo soon. The proposal includes a three-stage truce, each lasting 42 days.

Resistance retalitation

Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement says it has carried out a drone attack on an Israeli military position in the occupied territories, killing two regime’s soldiers. The Israeli military has confirmed the death of its troops in the attack near the northern city of Metula. The regime’s army also admitted that it failed to intercept the drone. Hezbollah said it also launched a rocket attack against Israeli positions in response to the regime’s latest strike on eastern Lebanon. Hezbollah and the Israeli military have been trading fire since early October, after the regime launched its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip.
