Israel Gaza fatalities

The Israeli military has confirmed the death of five more of its soldiers in the northern Gaza strip as Palestinian resistance groups continue to deal heavy blows to invading troops. Seven troops were also wounded, including three seriously, in an incident the Israeli military claimed was a friendly fire. It said a tank operating alongside the soldiers fired two shells at a building where they had gathered. The Israeli military has, so far, acknowledged the death of 278 of its forces since it launched a ground offensive against Gaza in late October. But, resistance groups and several media outlets say the regime is downplaying the actual number of fatalities among its troops to cover up failure in Gaza and avoid the Israeli public outrage.

Hezbollah retaliation

Lebanon’s resistance movement, Hezbollah, has carried out fresh retaliatory attacks on various Israeli military sites including those in the occupied Golan Height.

Crackdown on pro-Palestinian rallies

Anti-Israel protests are gaining momentum across the globe, as more and more people are standing in solidarity with Palestinians. Police and pro-Palestinian protesters clashed at the University of California campus in Irvine. Several students were detained after police removed an encampment and pro-Palestine protesters briefly took over a lecture hall. They demand the university to divest from Israel. On the other side of the Atlantic in Barcelona, Spanish students called for sanctions against Israel and the end of Israeli genocide in Gaza. Also in Greece more than 2,500 people marched through the streets of Athens to the Israeli embassy carrying Palestinian flags and chanting slogans such as Free Palestine. At least three people were detained after brief clashes with police who guarded the regime’s embassy.
